  1. Dr. Pete Freyburger has shared a gift with the public through writing “Vetting: The Making of a Veterinarian.” Dr. Freyburger’s straighforward writing and touching stories have a unique way of connecting with and impacting each and every reader. As a current veterinary student, Dr. Freyburger’s accounts of his early days in veterinary medicine are the most interesting and enlightening portions of his book to me. My non-veterinary family members have enjoyed “Vetting” due to the heartwarming stories Dr. Freyburger tells of his past pets and patients. “Vetting” appeals to all!

Dr. Freyburger has produced a “must read” for all audiences!

Animals yes, plus family and a personal journey.

The Doctors feelings of inadequacy early on prove him wrong, thus benefiting all the animals he encounters.

Weaving family into the book makes you feel like you are right there living the experiences.

Should be required reading for all would be vets and just those of us who love animals. Left me wanting much much more.

What hit me the most about this book was the honest emotion. In many places Dr. Freyburger truly wears his heart on his sleeve. This book is not only for those in the Veterinary field, although I’m sure that those who are or who have “been there” will revel in it.
